I made this thread on GTAf, but it was deleted without any explanation, so I figured I'd remake it here, where things are a bit more lax, and the mods will at least tell you when you do something they don't like. This thread isn't about any specific mod, though there a few I will be posting down the road hopefully, but rather looking through the available files and finding out more about GTA V. I was hoping to do something similar soon with the Laser weapon that I saw - also want to do it with SPMED and SPSMALL to find out what they are, but IDK where their model/vehicle info is kept. Unfortunately I didn't have any of this backed up when I posted it and Page 2 of that thread never got cached, so I'm still trying to remember what I posted there . If anyone remembers, in IV you could pickup hotdogs, coffee cups that people dropped, beer bottles, etc.
Also things may be a bit scattered and info blocks placed without transitions, I'll try to fix the formatting later on so everything's easier to read. In there is a lot of info about cheaters - it looks like GTA: Online will have a cheater server/pool like how GTA IV for PC did. - well this input still looks to be in the game, it just went unused (guessing R* plum just ran out of buttons).
GTA V uses RPF7 files, to open these you will need PS3 or 360 RPF7 key. Next download Liberty V (you can also use Open IV, but it doesn't allow editing of GTA V files) Place the key in the same folder as Liberty V and name it "key_ps3.dat" or "key_360.dat" Right-click on files and hit 'Export' to extract them (make backups of everything! My comments on certain code are formatted like //[this]. The logs for GTA V debug build tests are stored in 367 randomly named files.
) Most .meta, and files can be edited in Notepad++ To add a file back right-click 'Import' in Liberty V Then Save the RPF file - Liberty V will not save automatically, so make sure to do this. Each one that I've looked through so far has been for different GTA: Online missions, or gameplay matches.
